Scattered Pic-tureeesss!: A TNR Contest, Enter for Eternal Fame and Glory!

So!  I've been in sort of a cantankerous funk lately...until last night when I finally decided to take one of the ideas I've had for awhile, flesh it out, and GET GOING on it.  Who knew that when you just quit whining get motivated, it can be fun and good things can happen?!

As a small hint, I'm working on a little something for YOU, my super awesome, often eclectic TNR readers (and for anyone else I can stalk, track down, or otherwise intimidate).  I'd like propose a fun trade...I'll do this unmentioned thing for you guys, if you do something for me...

Let's have a contest!  I need some pictures.  And not just ANY pictures...I need pictures that fit into one of these four categories:

1.  Water from the Sky--A picture or photo that features a soft rain.  It can be droplets in a lake, or a summer shower on a beach.  Or, a picture of a cottage or a shack in the rain.  You know...water from the sky.  If you find a way to feature a woman or a couple, that'd rock.

2.  The Rumble of the Gods--Any picture or photo that gives a feeling of thunder or an impending storm...an angry sky, clouds of grey over a forest (preferable), whatever says to you, "Holy shit, I better get inside!"  A woman or couple again would be nice (but not necessary).

3.  Flashes of Light--Lightning, lightning, lots of lightning.  If you can compose something with lightning that also features a religious symbol (a cross, a Madonna, etc.)  bonus points for you.  Yup, you guessed it, a featured woman or couple would be great.

4.  When the Downpour Ceases--Ideally, I'd like to see something where the viewer can tell that the storm JUST passed, maybe the bright sun coming out, a rainbow, a drying sidewalk.  And again, a woman or couple would be cool.

You do NOT need to be a professional photographer to participate.  In fact, feel free to be creative within these guidelines!  Hell, if you want to draw or paint one of these scenes, that's cool, too (I'll still need your submission as a JPEG, though!  No full-fledged dioramas showing up on my doorstep from Fed-Ex ;)).

One photo will be chosen from each category and then featured in my project which will most likely reach millions a lot of people.  And yes, if you have a blog, website or Flickr page, you will be given due credit.  You will also receive a free copy of your picture featured within the project.

Please submit your pictures to thenakedredhead (at) gmail (dot) com by May 3.

Winners will be announced May 6.

The project will be announced and the first installment released on May 10.

So let's play!  Good luck...I can't wait to see what you come up with!

UPDATE:  edited for numerous typos.  Sheesh!
